W.A.R

W.A.R - warrior adrenaline race  So I got signed up to this 10k race and I had no idea what to expect! Wow I got a shock as I jumped into bogs of mud and swam in icy streams. Those of you who know me know I am South African through and through and cannot stand the cold!   My team -  Unicorn Glitter Sparkles - were amazing. No one was left behind, we all laughed the whole way through and I got addicted! We zip wired down the hill, slid down a huge slide, climbed through a tyre to go into a tunnel dug underground, climbed up and jumped of huge vertical obstacles, trudged through mud, swam in streams, swung on rope swings across a river,  hung on for dear life on monkey bars over a green swamp - I landed in the swamp 🙈but Sarah was amazing and managed to get across with pure determination 🙌🏻, slid down fireman poles and to my girls absolute delight (as they got to see this one 😂)  had to swim under water In a pool of ice water !    I must admit after our crazy summer of moving I haven

Grateful

I am grateful for so many people in my life but these last few weeks have really shown who has my back and who hasn't, who's real and who's not.    The girls and I had no home for 2 weeks as we had to move out our old house and couldn't get into our new one for a 15 days. I was so desperately worried about where my girls would sleep and be safe. I wasn't able to take them away as I had to be localish to deliver 3 weddings in those 15 days. The people that I thought would always be there for the girls, maybe not for me but definately for the girls weren't and I was devastated and actually a little heart broken.  While talking my options (or lack of them 😂) on our daily group chat with 2 of my besties - Becki instantly said I had to bring the girls to hers and to stay as long as I needed. She is one of my most favourite people and god mum to my girls.  She understood my need to ensure my girls were safe and didn't feel the immense stress of moving house. Beck

It's a Jersey thing 🇯🇪

So much to catch up on!! Its been a little bit of me being rubbish and also having no internet for a few week. So where to start?  A few weekends ago I went on a weekend away to Jersey. I have to admit I knew nothing about this little island, never thought to visit it and believed it would be a lot like England. But my partner in crime decided on this little island for my birthday weekend adventure so off we went ....  Our adventure started in Luton airport with fun and giggles from security all the way to dinner and shopping. We literally went into every shop :), had a little picnic on the plane ✈️ and before our tea had even got cold we had landed!! We must have totally lucked in and got the nicest taxi driver to our hotel. He told us all the places to visit, where to get breakfast and was just so lovely.  Our hotel was stunning! I couldn't have asked for better, gorgeous room, spa with salt pool, steam room, experience shower, salt stream room and an outdoor pool with a waterfal

This last year has been absolutely crap! It's been a horrible year with so much stress, negativity and it's completely rocked me. But through all that I found a little bit of myself and found myself doing things I never in a million years thought I would.  After coming out of a 17 year relationship and finding  weekends to myself I decided I wanted to try new things. So I wrote a list .... I like a list .... 1. Learn to ride a motorbike 2. How to shoot a gun 🙊 3. Try boxing  4. Travel as much as I can - UK & Europe to start  5. Go to Brighton (always heard about this seaside town when in South Africa so it's always been on my list!)  6. Go for Afternoon Tea at the Ritz Now many have said I'm having a mid-life crisis! I personally hope I'm going to live longer than 72 years but hey ho! It's my list, my things I want to conquer and so I started ...    I went on a funny and completely crazy girls weekend to Brighton! It was filled with laughs, cocktails, wine,

A little bike ride

Image
So Maisie and I decided to ride to school. She has a new seat that goes between the bike handle bars and myself. She loves it way more than the seat behind me and I think it's because she can see where we going and it's closesr to me and she gets to 'steer' the bike. I say steer but all she actually does is create a brilliant work out for my arms as I am constantly counter steering hahah! Not just a leg and glut workout!!! Last weekend I make a list of everything I personally want to achieve for myself and in my list is bike riding from London to Paris which is like to do on 2018! There I said it out loud and now have to commit to it! You ride on average 65-80km a day so I need to train, train, train!    Now  as a responsible parent I most probably should have ridden this ride on my own to make sure it was all ok but hey I thought I drive it everyday it's fine and decided to totally wing it baby in tow 😂 it was brilliant! Maisie will tell you we saw a dog, only on

H i Welcome to my blog following all the mad adventures of myself and my little gang!  I am Meghan and I'm mum to the 3 most perfect little adventurers Holly, Evie and Maisie. We are a little nuts, love life and always looking for fun places to visit and crazy adventures to partake in :)  These 3 little people are the reason I do what I do. As my personal life changed and I become a single mum to these gorgeous girls I have started working to achive a passive recurring income around my Wedding Cake Design bu si ness. So basically I have started my plan B around my mum role and day time job which I absolutely love. Who wouldnt love being involved in a couples special day??  As much as I adore my wedding cake business its a very 'hands on, need to physically' be in the kitchen business and I am and have been looking for a more complete work / life balance that works around my 3 little adventurers as they grow up.  I've always known the importance of passive
